Revitalize the body by increasing circulation to the organs and calm the nervous system through breathing exercises, slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching.
During these long holds, your muscles relax deeply. It's a completely different feeling from other types of yoga classes since props are used to support your body instead of your muscles. Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices and an excellent antidote to stress.
Ashtanga Modified Primary Series
This practice is a strong physical practice, focusing on synchronizing breath and movement through poses (āsanas) that purify the body and restore health. The poses are arranged in a sequential order, each posture builds on the previous one, strengthening and returning the body to a state of balance.
This combination creates intense heat, and thereby rids the body of toxins, removes impurities, and creates vibrant physical, mental and spiritual wellness. A challenging yoga practice to build strength and conditioning of the body and mind. You will be assisted with detail and given hands on adjustments, if desired, to help you further your practice. ** Please bring a Towel for this class**
